Observations from the RBMA PaRADigm Conference

The Infinx team was extremely pleased with our appearance at last month’s annual RBMA PaRADigm conference in Chicago. Thanks to steady traffic on the exhibit floor, we had the opportunity to present our advanced RCM solutions directly to many of the lead decision-makers in the radiology industry. We also unveiled a new live demo of our flagship pre-registration workflow management solution, iBridge.

Key Takeaways from RBMA

As at past RBMA events, our conversations at the Infinx booth afforded us more valuable insight into current real-world issues affecting the radiology community. We left Chicago with two primary takeaways:

The Emerging Impact of MIPS and MACRA. Following the recent enactment of the MIPS standards for Medicare reimbursements (as we’ve already discussed), healthcare providers are scrambling for any “secret weapon” that will help keep them above baseline performance benchmarks before actual penalties go into effect in 2019. Infinx coding solutions combine timely results with exceptional 99 percent accuracy, which ultimately translates into stronger MIPS metrics.

The Preauthorization Challenge. More than ever, healthcare groups of all sizes are looking at new advantages to streamline their insurance approvals in advance of patient care. As little as three years ago, most providers resisted outside assistance, thinking “we can keep it in-house”, but rising patient volumes in the wake of healthcare reform have forced them to reconsider viable alternatives to keep their preauthorizations manageable and efficient. RBMA attendees were particularly interested in Infinx preauthorization solutions, delivering urgent authorizations in as little as 20 minutes.

Infinx Sponsors RBMA Awards Luncheon

For the third year running, Infinx sponsored RBMA’s Networking Luncheon and Awards Ceremony, a prominent focal point midway through the three-day conference. As outgoing RBMA officers and staff were honored for their service to the organization, this event allowed us an added opportunity to interact with attendees in a more casual setting. In her remarks at the podium, past RBMA president Suzanne Taylor took time to recognize Infinx for our long-term support and encouraged attendees to show their appreciation at our booth.

Next Stop: Orlando

Infinx next hits the road for the HFMA ANI 2017 conference in Orlando, Florida, June 25-28, where we’ll spotlight our RCM solutions for the broader healthcare financial management community. Be sure to plan a visit with us at Booth #1173 at the Orange County Convention Center.
